0. Certification Exam Pattern
Starting from 2023, Oracle has introduced Hands-on Performance based exams, rather than just MCQs.
Hence it is no longer possible to just memorise the answers and clear the exam (clearing the certification by just memorising the answers was not useful earlier as well, since you will lack the knowledge to clear interviews and secure a high paying job in Oracle space)
Due to the above mentioned reasons, it is important that, along with clearing the exam, your main aim is also getting a good knowledge of the relevant module, so you can:
- Pass the Certification Exam,
- Subsequently clear interviews and get a job,
- And perform well as a consultant on your job!
1. Introduction to Fusion Cloud
If you are completely new to fusion cloud, refer the “Introduction to Fusion Cloud video”. This is not specific to Oracle FIN Cloud, however this is an important step in understanding what is Oracle Fusion Cloud.

2. Fusion Cloud Foundation
Fusion Cloud Foundation course will teach you the setups and configurations which are required for any module (not specific to FIN Cloud)
3. Setting Up Oracle FIN Cloud
This course focuses on the foundational configurations of GL, AP, AR, FA, CM.
Refer this course and practice the same on the provided instance at least 2 times from start to end.
4. In-Depth GL Preparation
After you have a strong command on all the previous steps, you can begin with in-depth preparation of GL Cloud.
This preparation has been split in 3 parts.

It is important to actually perform the hands-on practice on the instances for this. Only watching the videos WITHOUT doing practice will NOT give you the required benefit.
5. MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) Practice

- For every question listed above, go to Oracle’s official website docs.oracle.com and read the documentation
Important note: Point 5.1. above provides a list of questions for the exam, it does NOT provide the correct answers for these questions. As mentioned above, memorising the answers is not the right approach and hence you will need to read the documentation and find out the answers yourself.

8. Register for your exam
To register for your exam
- Go to education.oracle.com
- From the top pane, select certifications > view all certifications
- Select the relevant product (“Enterprise Resource Planning” for GL)
- Click “+” for General Ledger Cloud and select “Oracle Financials Cloud: General Ledger 20YY Certified Implementation Professional”
- Scroll down and select “Oracle Financials Cloud: General Ledger 20YY Implementation Professional 1Z0-1054-YY”
- Click on “Add to Cart”
- Click on “View Cart & Checkout”
- Login and click on “Checkout” (create an account if you don’t have one)
- Enter the relevant details, select the date and time, and complete the payment
Once this process is completed, you will be able to appear for the certification exam
